I have been trying to get the firebox sound card to work.

what are your system specs, and do you have the latest driver for the firebox?
I d/led it from their website, and installed it on my lappy, without using the cd that came with it, and it worked fine.

call or email them for support, they will email you a list of recommended tweaks for your operating system.I have this card it works great since I implemented the suggested optimizations.
