My vdj program is crashing {freezing up} after 1 hour of play it did it too me three times around the same time. i got that crackling sound too stop by messing with the latencey. my latencey is set at 2048 {46ms} i have safe mode off and overlock on. my master tempo is on advance under options. i have maxload set at 5 min and under video i took off hardware acceleration. also under performance i have it set one step after best quality. my laptop specs are {AMD turion processor dual core 1.8gig hertz} 2gig of ram, 120 gig hd hp pavillion 9010 series. please help me out cause i have too have this right for saturday nite i can't afford too look like a fool. my cpu is clean i have 70% free on my hard drive and i just did a defrag. i use my onboard sound card {conexant hd} for the public and a usb audio output too monitor. i dont use anything external like ttables and cds. help me out guys.

lower your proformance tab

What worked for me was to set master tempo to FAST.. And the preset slider to max

I think it was my soundcard causing the freeze up problem. i tried my friends {maya usb 44} for the public and used a turttle beach audio output too monitor my songs and had no problems. also i had my settigs set too fastest performance and safe mode and overlock unchecked (off) my latencey was set too 1024 (23ms) and master tempo is on fast. i had it on auto mix for 6 hours and it never crashed or skipped a beat. but i did notice on my cpu performance graph everytime i load a song the graph goes up between 50 - 70 % is that normal but when a song is playing it stays around 10%. wow can a sound card really cause this problem? oh yea one more thing under task manager i set cue too realtime priority. do you think that this helped solve the problem?

possibly but if you notice any increased unstability dissable this means ur overtasking ur processor

it is working fine now but i notice after i play for about 2 hours and i am going through my music folders it will stick on me is it beacuse i have too many music folders? for instance i have a folder called 2006 reggae and i have all the reggae riddims from that year in this folder it has about 45 different riddims in this one folder with about 10 songs too each riddim. do i have too scan my hard drive for this too stop happening?

it would be a good idea

if you did scan all of your tracks

what does scanning ur tracks really do?

it produces a full report about vital info such as bpm , gain infomation

basic style , tag infomation , wavform mapping

which normaly would have to be worked out as you play the song live , this slows it down and strains cpu
