Hello all! First time poster here, but long-time user of Virtual DJ. Love the software but it's been giving me some real trouble for some time now. Here's the problem:
Any time I do something else on the laptop (i.e. do a file search, open a browser to look for something online, or simply remove the usb mouse from it's port) the program goes crazy and into hyperdrive. Imagine playing "At Last" for a couples first dance and something gets bumped. Alvin and Theodore take over for Etta and sing their own rendition which does not go over too well for the newlyweds...
Does anybody know what causes this problem? Is there a solution? When it does happen I switch to cd's while I restart the program or restart the computer....

That's why there is the "safe-mode" you can use with the "simple" sound config only. It helps you to correct the problem due to hardware access.
