Its true what they say, the maya needs software amp, while the u46dj has hardware amp, of the vinyl signal. So the U46dj card should work better...
It seems ESI is making a new model that will replace the u46dj, so I'd wait a bit if I where you, or get the u46dj from a store that has it in stock :)
BTW, Numark will release a boxed version of VDJ with soundcard, vinyls and all, after xmas.. So that might also be a good option ;) its called Numark Virtual Vinyl

Dont worry ;) I was not saying it works bad.
The maya44 pci might work great, as VDJ have software preamp...
Remember that maya44 usb is a card that is loved by many VDJ users ;)
So I bet the card will work good for you :)
And PCI should give you super low latency

VDJ has software amp yes;)
Needed for almost all cards in use by VDJ users:) except a few , like u46dj
And timecode should take a week at the most I think ;) Sent from France to UK
Glad u are smiling again;)hehe

I have been using the PCI version of the Maya 44 card for years. Before when it was Audiotrack's hardware. It works great with the TCV's. I have it set real low on the latency and it I haven't had any big issues thus far.
