one is for all kinds of music, and since it analyse better it takes more time...
The other is a fast more simple algorithm that works well with regular 4/4 beat songs, such as dance, house, and other songs that are simple in beats..

The techno/house analyser seems to report bpm's more accurately for tracks with strong beats. The 'any music' seems more for tracks without a strong beat. At least that is my impression :S
