I hope the VDJ DEV Team is working on something similar to this:
http://mediasoftware.sonypictures.com/Products/showproduct.asp?PID=704&FeatureID=6299 (scroll down to “Beatmapper Wizard”)
With the Parallel Waveform Display (PWD) that I’m suggesting, the waveform for a song in one player would appear directly above the waveform of a song in the other player. The waveforms for two songs would be displayed exactly like the above example. However, the example depicts only one song. PWD could be very useful in beat mixing as you will soon see.
The Beat Mapper would not only calculate the bpm’s, it would also allow you to manually mark the first beat. After you've manually marked the first beat, the Beat Mapper would automatically mark each subsequent beat or allow you to manually mark them. Consequently, with the PWD that I mentioned above, the beat markers for two songs playing simultaneously would appear as a straight line if the beats were aligned properly. The beatlock would then be used to keep the straight line intact or to align and lock the beat markers as a single line.

VDJ got a (kinda) dual wave display on top of eachother..
It could of course be a skin feature, and I would LOVE to see the possibility of customizing the wave display for skins....
I'm making a skin right now, with SPLIT wave display, where they are aligned next to eachother..

And making Parallel Wave Display would also be cool..
If this was made as a skin feature we could make pannels where the users could hit buttons for what wave display they would like to use
- dual
- split
- parallell
That would be nice ;)

I checked out your skin; you are tempting me to buy the Hercules DJConsole.
As for your suggestion:
“If this was made as a skin feature we could make pannels where the users could hit buttons for what wave display they would like to use

- parallel”
I really like the idea. May your skin be the first to offer all three options. Make sure you use this new skin in the forthcoming “djing-in-norway” timecode CD video—I’ll be seeing you soon at www.oscar.com.

loooool ;)
will see if I can borrow a cam, and make a shot..
but it sure will not be Oscar material.. lool :)
but i do like the feature u are asking for in addition..
"it would also allow you to manually mark the first beat"
that would be VERY nice, as I adjust cbg for almost all tracks, and manually marking them, would be a huge time saver :)
