I have been spinning about a year.. I got all the mixing parts down but I can't figure out how to the fancy scratching happens. I know how to scratch but I can't do the fast nice scatching I hear on the radio.

practice makes perfect.
you can look up some scratching tutorials online @ Youtube and other sites as well.
So many different types of scratches to learn.
for the fast scratches there's Uzis and scribbles. Although the flares are fake scratches wich sound quick yet it really is a slower motion.
do a baby scratch of the sample you want. then just cut once or twice when rocking the sample forward and the same when rocking it backwards. place the cuts at the exact same time forward and backward and you'll have a fast sounding scratch ;)
