having an option like this makes it a little easier to rescan your database when you add new tracks.

kind of on the same note. I used a program that told you how many tracks were added when the scan was done. I think this serves very valuable to see how many tracks you have and to make sure your new tracks were added properly.

I guess you are talking about scan and analyze files, as you said they where NEW files...
What I do, as of now... is quick scan hd WITHOUT analyze, then go to search-field for whole database.
Sort it by bpm by pressing the bpm title-bar
All the new files (that are not analyzed and dont have bpm yet) are at the BOTTOM when sorting whole database by bpm. You then mark all those files by holding shift or control when marking the files, rightclick to analyze only the new files... :)
