I want to do a clean install of V5:
1) How do I ensure anything and everything associated w/ v4.3 is removed?
2) How do I have V5 import the old database (not delete the Virtual DJ database.xml file?
Thanks

1) backup your v4 database
download and run tool http://www.virtualdj.com/addons/download.html?addon_id=2936
remove c: program files virtualdj folder
2) install vdj5 and start it
exit vdj
on your drive with music (for me it's D:) delete the "virtual dj database v5.xml" and rename the v4 database to "virtual dj database v5.xml"
after starting vdj and adding importing songs from d: to the search database vdj should split the old database into 2 pieces.
One will be in your MyDocuments/VirtualDJ folder with songs that are not present on D: as mp3 but were in database
Other part will be on D: the new database containing only the songs that are really on D: drive
