hello,

I read that the serato tvc works with virtual dj 5. But if I try it than I can't get a 100% signal.
I also read about plugins for this. Are they all ready there?

From what I know, the SSL plugin is not ready yet. The user, who decided to develop it for you, is still working on it. We have just tested a first beta of this plugin and it seemed to work well on VirtualDJ v5.0

But we remind you that it's only a plugin so do not hope to have the software scratch live inside it ;-)

hello,

thanks for your answer. I will wait

Any updates on this. My story with VirtualDJ and it's own supported timecode vinyl has been pretty disasterous really. The first vinyl I ordered about 18 months ago didn't hold their pitch very well and then the Numark pair I ordered recently held their pitch but were warped so badly that most manipulation of the record (i.e. when scratching) would result in skipping. I tried to contact Thomann to organise some sort of replacement, but they never got back to me. So I decided I was going to attempt to unwarp the record myself despite knowing that it would cause more damage than good. Well, I now have a nice new frisby to play with.

It's actually a shame that I bought a new soundcard with preamp. Most online shops are selling Serato at a large price reduction compared to a few weeks ago and on ebay it can be picked up for less than £300. But I'm not going to make this switch, unless I have to.

I am however wanting to make the switch to Serato vinyl. I'm not going with VirtualDJ's/Numark vinyl again. As well as having two bad experiences, the records are unable to track their pitch in reverse (there's been a few drifting cue point posts recently). What is the quality of the Serato plugin like? The responsiveness is good? Works better than the VirtualDJ vinyl? I hope so.

Any idea on a release date possibly?

Any news on this Serato Plugin yet ?

dont double post please..

how is that a double post when the last post was almost a month ago? Its better bringing back the original thread then starting a new one. You guys are to sensitive sometimes.

i'm looking forward to this, my vdj wax melted when i took them to las vegas in the 110 degree heat.

It's because he posted the same question on two separate threads. And as it was said initially -- when it's ready it will be posted.

well "double post" like that is one thing

but with a exciting plugin like this you can expect people to be eager to get it. its nothing to get frustrated about. Many people would die for people to want their products so badly.

Also when some people "involved" say soon you dont expect months you expect a couple of weeks the most!

Also cant wait here...

Maybe like to know, if its easy to have a plugin for the 4.3 engine to load in 5, because i liked it more!

This thread is for the plugin not for "double posting" ;)

Now let me try again... are we there yet ?

no...but I'm sure when it does u will see a heavy thread : )

can wait to see that day :D

Just curious, what do you guys expect to get from that plugin?

i'm expecting to use serato control records at the correct speed and have good tracking. Relative mode is fine, I don't care for absolute. i have vdj tcv, but i have a ton more ssl tcv. the ssl tcv are half the price and readily available at many stores.

Thats exactly the intention with the comming open SDK for plugins of the timecode engine, where users can make plugins for ANY timecode, and users can change the behaviour of supported timecode etc.

It will come soon, still some beta testing going on, to make sure all is 100% good to go :)

Any news... cant wait!!!

When When When..... Aaah... heard soon two months ago...

Come on, where is it? Why so long?
