Its more than dollars...
A larger user base, makes more valuable inputs.
A larger arena, makes the development pressure larger...
And in the end, it benefits ALL that use the software :)

yeah, lol.. But there is always a more to things in a sucsessfull company than the pure urge of dollars ;)
For example, VDJ never charged a penny for upgrades... added video, no cost for current customers, added sampler, no cost...etc ;)
So there are more feelings involved and more to business that purly getting dollars:)
That being said, its a smart move purly economically seen, to get your product re-branded and sold on a larger scale of course ;)

So with so much improvement and development... is there a starter program any more. The MK2 has limited function program but it's an old generation.

Very good point Norway. This makes Atomix unique—other companies would have been pimping upgrades to its users.
