I know I know...tons of questions lately. Just hammering out some details and can't figure them out.
Using a second Midi controller for video but I want to be able to latch them via midi or keystroke on the fly so that I can scratch them.
Anybody?

There is an option in the video tab to link the crossfaders. Not sure if you can do a shortcut for it so it can easily be linked and unlinked though.

Bump: Does anybody know of a shortcut to midi or keymap this function? I just want to be able to latch it to scratch some of the videos. Other times I need a smooth fade without playing the music from the side I am fading to.
Anyone?
JASON!! You have to know!????

Well.... I figured out a few things about this on the fly as I used it.
Just in case anyone wants to know things like this.......
If you latch the faders in the video settings you can assign a video crossfader and the video fader will work along with the regular crossover.
Still not sure if I can hot button this feature but it would be nice. It would be cool to scratch the audio at times without the video changing at all.
Oh well....learn more everyday.

it can be hotkeyed to keyboard... config > shortcuts > add > video > video transitions > { keystroke } > { -64 , +64 } adjust speed by testing.
I'm going off of memory but this should be pretty close for you to figure the minor detail..

Are you saying the link crossfader action can be hotkeyed? The video crossfader definitely (+/- 150 worked for me) but I haven't been able to figure how to do a shortcut for linking the audio and video crossfaders.

Which one are you trying to do - audio shortcut or video shortcut? I'll try to have a complete list of shortcuts of video tonight

Sorry Fatkatz, you're kinda missing it. Under video options you can link the audio crossfader with the video crossfader, that is what Paulie and I were talking about. There is a need to have it separate at times and a need to have it linked at times. Is there a shortcut to do that is the question? I haven't found it. We know about the video and audio crossfade shortcuts. Thanks if you can figure that out.

I thaught that might be the case... will be home shortly to work on it.

I too am wonderin if there is a way to map that.

well, I spent many hours programming some things but could not get this particular video link to map. Although, I found out several other things that would be useful. But for now no joy... I was thinking that the Teamers should have known or did know but didn't say " not possible"... just thinking.

Thanks for looking into it. I'll make the suggestion for a future version. I think it would be incredibly handy to have a shortcut or at least a possible midi mapping.

A shortcut to link/unlink audio & video crossfader is already present , action: video_crossfade value: AUTO

I don't have VDJ in front of me... But config> shortcuts> ( whats next ?) > (Whats next ? ) > action: video_crossfade value: AUTO

I don't have it in front of my either but it should be config>shortcuts>video>video_crossfade and then you have an option to put in value which = auto.
