been a while since we did this and just wondered what people are doing with VDJ these days,
heres a shot of my very old home rig just to get us stated ; )

what kind of sound card is that? also, do you have any heat issues with that cube style pc? specs?

copy the images url location and type img src= in front of the url. make sure to put quotation marks around the url.
 
 
 
 
Everytime I see that video I think of the " the things you can think - Dr sues " only problem is the hands in the cookie jar - people reaching over. Hell, I had one person grab my hand while it was on the fader.

its a terratec producer phase 88.
its not bad (good latency and sound qual) but at 250 quid it was overpriced i think, i just had a dream of having an all in 1 DJ box and it has worked perfectly! heat has not been a problem for me. i hear that if you chuck 2 or more HDDs, a crazy gfx card and a hot CPU then you generate too much heat for such a small box (and also overtax the PSU which gets even hotter ; )

its done me proud and has a carry handle, taken a few knocks and is still working fine, your only concern should be water, the case is not exactly road grade but dont be an idiot with it and it will last well. no worse than a lappy anyway.

in short laptops suck, you never have any end of problems with software working as it should on them and if anything goes wrong itl cost you a fortune to sort (hlaf the time a new one is cheaper than fixing it!) its all about the cube ; )

Yes these systems are for sale. It can be customized any way you want. You can get just the middle 19" touchscreen and put a couple technics on the wings if you want. It all depends on what you want to do, audio, audio and video, or like my system, run audio, video, and lights. Showexpress is freakin sweet with a touch screen.

I'm starting work on revision two of the case itself. If my math is right, it should be right around 55lbs.

I am also working on offering content as well. Custom graphics, skins, and visuals. We are trying to figure out the logistics, but eventually, for an annual fee, we will make custom content, within reason, of course.

I am also working on a model for helping DJ's create a "personna." For example, My stage name is DJ Nutz. My show is called, The DJ Nutz Experience. I am pulling together a plan to offer an "interview" for a DJ and then create a whole package of visuals, sounds, etc, for that jock. I plan to cover everything from g rated stuff to the nastiest xxx rated stuff, and everything in between.
