Topic: Virtual DJ isn't picking up my external HD

Dieses Thema ist veraltet und kann veraltete oder falsche Informationen enthalten.

Hey, I have all my music on my external. I have the MAC version of Virtual DJ. My hard-drive plugs into the USB. The computer finds it but when I load Virtual DJ, I can't find it. Help

shot in the dark this one, but have you told vdj where to find it? ie in the list to the left of the browser, usually computer, name of external hard drive then the location where its on your hd

I've looked. Under Volumes, the only thing is Macintosh HD. I can drag mp3 files from the external onto the application, but i cant find the drive itself. The filepath is /Volumes/OneTouch4 Plus/.....

But The only thing under Volumes is Macintosh HD. There is a Volumes folder under that but when I try to expand it byclicking the plus sign, nothing opens.

Is it an ntfs formated drive?

Type: External
System Type: Desktop
Storage Capacity: 500 GB
Rotation Speed: 7200 rpm
Ports: Firewire 400, USB, USB 2.0
Disk Cache Size : 16 MB

Those are the specs. it's a Maxtor OneTouch 4 Plus. If I scan the /volumes/ folder, it scans the files on the drive. But I can't expand the volumes folder to look at the folders in the external drive.

I think u have it formatted ntfs.

VDJ will not show ntfs formatted disc in Mac but yes mac will read ntfs HDD

Read here ;)

By the way if u have ur VDJ pro, kindly register ur serial in ur profile as there is no mac demo atm. thanks.
