Topic: DJ Name

I am a mobile DJ and have been DJ'ing for 3 years, I have called my company Sumner Sounds, but I want a DJ name that I can use as I'm starting to do alot of bar work etc. I was wondering if anyone could help me out with a few ideas that I could call myself.

how about an all american abreviation Dj S.N.R
 
How about DJ Sumner.
 
Or drop the DJ

just use ur company name and as in ur login name;)

I never really got why DJs and Rappers and such are so insistent upon having a special alias. Is it to protect your true identity just in case you become too famous to prevent hordes of young girls showing up at your door wanting sex with no prior notice?

Uhm... so far I've been using my real name as a DJ and havn't had that problem.
Well, nothing I couldn't handle by myself, anyways.
 
some real names are just too damn borring. I hate when people say my last name.
 
i use a letter. and dont let them call me a dj - i'm just J at the club. and even my fiancee' calls me J.

dj names not so important as just being good at it.

no point in having flash if you dont have talent.
 
My first name is James, but only a few people call me James, my family and my girlfriend.

At school, then at collage, now at work, and all my friends call me Jim or Jimmy plus others names, but I show not go into that..Hehe.

When I was picking a DJ name for myself i decided to use DJ Jimmy b (last name starts with B). I think it sounds better than DJ James b.

Sumner sounds closer to Summer so:

Dj El Verano

Verano VDJ

VDJ Sum-E.R.

Or something different:

Dj 5incopatience

or 5pation

I assume Sumner is your real name. If it is, try this—Sum-nerve DJ. In the U S, it would mean that you had the audacity (balls) to do something unexpected.

In my town There's a DJ Fuck-off, and DJ Dervish, Guy Goes by Tripswitch (cool handle though) DJ Heavy Devil and a couple of others

I used to use The Green Guy

But since decided (more for Ease of memory) DJ Marcel
