Bought Virtual Vinyl last week to run on my PC however, do to a patch that has not been made for the problems I was having, I abandoned the PC idea. Instead I went out and bought a MacBook Pro w/Intel Duo Processor and 2 Gigs of RAM. Problem solved right??? Not a chance, although the Virtual Vinyl sound card seems to work as purely a sound card, the the time codes are not reading. I have been reading through the forums and did not find any answers. Is there a post of a general troubleshooting process I could run through?
Secondly, I hooked up my external drive that contains all the music I ran on my PC. The files are wav files and will not load into Virtual Vinyl. Instead a 2-7 second clip of the song load and thats it. Really frustrating, do I need a codec or some drvier? I am totally New to Mac and have no idea how to troubleshoot this issue.
Any ideas? I starting to think Virtual Vinyl is just not the way to go.

I suppose you are on Leopard. And i think the VV soundcard is not compatible with Leopard yet. But I am not sure.

These issues are being worked on for the next release for MAC.
However, you should be able to get the timecodes working though!
Try asking SkyFxl for some helps, he's a real "wizard" when it comes to troubleshooting ;)

VV requires no drivers in mac os and works on any version of osx above 10.4

Hi , it will not work as soundcard in other aplications its purely an audio interface for VDJ/CUE/VV this does however mean it is perfectly configured to utilise timecodes , and for use with external mixers.
For best performance choose Quality Highest and set latency to auto as the box will provide this information and press autoconfigure on the timecode options , please bare in mind this is a test release and it will be of a much higher standard in the final release.
Unfortunately the public beta does not have the ability to read NTFS drives but this has been resolved for the soon to come final release
If songs do not load fully go to options and set max load to always and this should clear it up for you.
If you need more direct help and have osx 10.5 make a ichat screenname and pm me your id and i will be happy to help you.

Running Leopard right out out the box.
I configured the settings to Best Quality and auto latency. However, I get the same error message that says the time code signal cannot be found, please check your cables....etc. One thing that caught my eye was in the time code advance configuration menu, above both of the wave readout windows it said left(Turntable). Probably means nothing but I though one should say right, like the interface was only picking up one of the input channels.
I was able to play music with VV through the VV sound card hooked up to my mixer and sounded fine. I assume that the sound cards works fine. And as I have said in previous posts the TT's have brand new needles in them and work fine when plugged directly into the mixer.
Lastly, VV with recognize the drive and allow me to read all of the files. I just cannot get the entire file to play in VV.

I will absolutely get in touch with you tonight when I get home from work prob around 6:30 Eastern Standard time. This whole situation really blows my mind.

I am having the same problems. I have a dell inspiron. I just downloaded the newest version from the numark website. I got my virtual vinyl hooked up to my numark HDXs. I got the track starting with my turntables, but it's not going back to the beginning when I go back to the beginning of the cd, and I am getting nothing but popping noises to my mixer. Not sure what the deal is. Please help, it's driving me crazy.

ok for timecodes to work, wouldn't you have to make an Aggregate device in Audio MIDI Setup? so that way you can have inputs and outputs of the same card? maybe thats why all of these people are having problems.
