I wish you guys would make a deal with the people over at www.pyramidedata.dk/autobpm.html so that we could have the option in the settings of using that engine for hip hop tracks.
It is way more accurate than VDJ's current engine and also more accurate than Mixmeister's standalone bpm program. It is unbelievable how good it is. I am having to re-do thousands of hip hop tracks to verify accuracy, and while most done by VDJ are correct, autobpm ALWAYS has the correct BPM no matter what. What do you say developers?

did you try BOTH bmp algorithms for VDJ?
I have also found that VDJ get most hiphop correct.
And for those few that VDJ dont get correct, I change the algorithm, and VDJ gets the last ones correct too :)
by the way, also love the autobpm app :)

autobpm option in vdj and the autobpm program from pyramidedata is not the same thing ;)
autobpm option in vdj is for auto-mixing mode.

hehe.. ok ;) my bad....
the option is for automixing, also if enabled in live play, it will match your songs bpm's when dragging a new song to the deck
