So I DL dvddecrypter and run it, I just for test purposes put in a regular dvd (Actually, it was a girls gone wild dvd, hehe) anyway, so I run the program (dvd-d) and it out puts a file 600mb, and its a .VOB. k, so now what? I installed vegas 5, and try to locate the file while using "All media" and it is showing that the folder is empty. How do I import a dvd rip into vegas?

K, got it to "see" the file, but now it says I need a PLUG IN to make it read mpg-1 files????? wtf...

try using vegas 7.0............. i know that vegas 8.0 is out now

I agree Vegas 5 does not do VOBs very well. 7 or 8 will do the trick.

To open VOBS in Vegas, simply rename the filename to MPEG. That usually does the trick ;)
Also be sure you have most codecs installed:
