Topic: Not playing full songs (mp3)

I've found that some of the MP3 that i cue up in virtual DJ do not play fully, if the song is 7 minutes, only 2 minutes plays!! Teh songs play in their entirety when loaded into Windows media player. Any idea whats wrong and how i can fix it?

What version are you using and Where do you get your music from?
 
Its Version 5, and i'm getting my songs from friends. It doesnt happen to all songs, just a few, but its really annoying.
 
its the demo by the way, would that have anything to do with it?

The official demo should be able to play anything you throw at it really.

I would re-ripp the songs.
 
Hey man, thanks for your help,

Sorry for being a bit dumb but how could i do it with just MP3 files? I took most of them off a friends external hard drive. Would getting the full version make it any better or will i still have the same problem?

no you would have the same problem - the files might have de-graded.
 
In Config under OPTIONS there is a listing and can't remember the exact name right now. But on the left hand side there is push button that changes the buffer size 5,10,30 min and always... I have mine set at always. It really depends on you cpu and ram amount for storage.

Maybe someone can help with the exact name or tab you should be looking for...
 
I think you're talking about max load. I don't think this is the problem, though. The default is 15 minutes.

Couldn't hurt to check the setting...It's under options, the button is labeled Max Load ;)

I can confirm this problem as well.
Ever since version 2x (the beginning for me) I have had occasional mp3s that would not analyze and play correctly.
It is a rare occurrence though.
