Topic: Musicians djing setup

Dieses Thema ist veraltet und kann veraltete oder falsche Informationen enthalten.

Hi there I am a musician looking at getting creative with some dj gear with a view to making as opposed to just playing music. My source material will be soul, funk and disco with samples and loops of my own.

I want to use mp3 files and I want to have a hardware device linked into my laptop. The hardware needs to access all the features of the software and both need to be rock solid in their workings on a PC. As I am a musician its important that the device allows me to be creative but be easy and logical to use at the same time. have been fiddling with a trial of vdj 5 and it seems ok but I wouldt like to have to use it without some hardware.

So any suggestions as to what software and hardware to go for?

Is there a better solution to software and a controller?

Cheers,

Alex.

A lot of musicians use Ableton Live for playing loops and samples alongside their live playing.

Ableton Live can be controlled via MIDI from lots of different hardware, including keyboards, mixers, effects units etc.

I suggest you take a look at the Novation Remote SL range.
