Topic: NEED A Soundcard NOW!!! Budget isn't an issue - Page: 1

Dieser Teil des Themas ist veraltet und kann veraltete oder falsche Informationen enthalten

Ok, I've spent countless days, hours, searching the web and well the best s/c out there are the Rane Serato and the Numark Cue, but here's my problem, I don't want another program or timecode cd's other than the ones VDJ offers, if I got VDJ, why get another program that is sold as a package with the timecode cd's and vinyl. I'm not going to controller decks I have CDJ-1000's and don't plan on using my turntables again only when I feel like spinning on my own. SO can anyone point me in the direction of getting an audio interface that will work with my setup where I can control VDJ with:

CDJ-1000's, CDM 600, virtual DJ, timecode cd's thanks to VDJ and a bad-ass laptop.

The MAya 44 has been discontinued, although they revamped it with another one but I haven't found a seller that has it yet.
Oh and the u46dj is also discontinues but has a new version coming out.
The other one I came acrosse is the Native Instrument interface, before I spend $3-400 on an interface that's going to bump heads with VDJ and vista, I need your help.
Thanks!

if budget is really not an issue, stay away from the maya. get something like this:

http://www.rme-audio.de/en_products_hdspe_expresscard.php

with

http://www.rme-audio.de/en_products_multiface_2.php

or you can get the RPM instead of the multiface ii since it is more for djs and has RIAA inputs directly for your TTs.

just check if your laptop is expresscard or cardbus. if its new in the last year, its expresscard and the first link is correct. if not, then the cardbus version of the same card:
http://www.rme-audio.de/en_products_hdsp_cardbus_interface.php

or, if you feel this is a bit overkill for you, look at the emu 1616m... but mind you its only in cardbus format right now.

I'll give you a good deal on my Virtual Vinyl Soundcard. Its built for VDJ. PM me.

Your PM is disabled. Otherwise I might be intereted.

Charlie Five, I sent you an email hola back.

HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend the
AUDIO 8 DJ

what's wrong with the maya 44 usb ?????????????

The maya is a low budget interface. It's a fiat pinto where the RME is a ferrari ..

IMO if money is no option your choice should be the RME HDSP RPM.♠

i use maya 44 usb and works great, why spend more when maya 44 dies a great job ?

Do like me..sell your Pioneer 1000 Mk3:s, they are old !! and soon will be replaced so get your money back when you can..

And buy Pioner Cdj 400 and get spinning with Midi, They also have a build in Soundcard = Midi and Soundcard "In One"

Maya 44 works ...but not perfect - Latency is BIG and the sound is 7/10 points -
If our friend have Pioneer cdj he must buy a more PRO solution than maya44 -

Wrong, maya 44 works perfectly for me with no latency issues

Could someone please help me figure this out??? 1. I am running a 1.6ghz duo core gateway Lappy with 1.5 gb ram running vista with a gm950 integrated videocard, 320 gb external hd ,numark total control, maya 44 soundcard, tcv, technique 1200's, ext monitors, pa system ect.. whether im running cue or vdj the master gain (house output) seems to bleed over into the headphones that are configured/hooked up to the mayas souncard headphone output 1&2???? I have installed asio for all drivers & the system is stable running videos. how can i get rid of that annoying bleed over in the headphones???

2. I also have an acer lappy 1.6 ghz duo core with 2gb ram running xp pro, with the same gm950 integrated video card & all the same components listed above which is very unstable running video (stuutering when I load a Video & locking up). I also have an Hp desktop 3ghz duo core, 3gb ram, dedicated 512mg geforce videocard running vista that is also unstable running video?? Could anyone explain to me why the weakest machine I have is the most stable running video??? Thanx

So what's the verdict on the Maya 44 usb?

I'd hope that it offers low latency and decent ASIO drivers for scratching? Good sound quality? (compared to Herc MK2 and XP10)

is it better to buy the native instruments audio 8 or go with the cardbus thing paz suggested? I assume transfer rates are higher using cardbus rather than the usb 2.0 connected audio 8 but i don't know.

what's the consensus on best soundcard to use if money isn't an issue?

well, i had intended to have a set from RME by now but then at the last minute i decided to buy genelec studio monitors for my production. i know another dude was going to buy the expresscard rig from RME. But i can say that cardbus is higher trasnfer rates and lower latency as ive used the emu1616m. the stability is extremely good and nothing you can do to crash the sucker.

if budget really isnt an issue then definitley dont buy firewire or usb when you have the chance to buy a device which would actually part of the system's data-bus instead of 'connected to it'

I have a Mona 24 single rack space 8in 8out studio quality sound card with pcmcia adapter for sale ($300 plus shipping - or best offer). I am putting it on craigslist next week unless somebody here wants it.

I have not used it with VDJ as I had my lappy stolen a year ago but when I had PCDJ FX and BPM Studio it worked fantastic with both. Also did a lot of recording into adobe audition with it from a friend who plays the guitar and he loved it. Send email to info@BlackBoxxProducitons.com if interested.
