Topic: Timecode CD Problems

Dieses Thema ist veraltet und kann veraltete oder falsche Informationen enthalten.

So basically I have everything matched up perfectly & at a certain point my tracks just go out of sync as if there was a bump in the timecode. Can someone tell me if there is a small problem with the timecode. I have used different pcs as well, different burners. I am really frustrated at the moment. Before anyones says tracks go out of sync, yes I know. But they go gradually out of sync, not a sudden bump. Does this happen to anyone else. I can remeber seeing someone posting something similar. I also have 100 percent signal. Also my setting are perfect.

Help would be appreciated

check ur pitch sensitivity..that might be it

Try pitch sensitivity to 2000ms

By the way, what CD players ? NO turntable or CD player on earth spin perfectly, so it will drift... But over time

How fast is it out of sync? With a good CD player, that sould take several minutes to drift out of sync

ok I will try that but Im not so confident:( My players are the cdj200s with a pitch resolution of 0.02. When perfectly beatmatched as you said, they should stay in sync for quite a while.

what soundcard are u using and is it on a HUB..if not try a powered hub..maybe usb is losing power...

using the maya44USB. Connected directly to the pc. Tried that out, it seems to help a little but on regular cds I can still beatmatch way better. Think Im gonna just use ordinary cds:O Ahh crappness:(

VDJ and Real CD's should be exactly the same.. Real CDs will drift on CDJs 200 too, but takes quite a while, and so should timecode.

If timecode drifts faster, there is something in the settings, possibly latency.

If you are using maya, you MUST use latest drivers (alternatively Asio4all) , and you MUST use Auto for latency in VDJ performance tab.

I have auto in my latency & I have now in the maya44 control panel put the latency to the lowest. Was spinning a few tracks there & mixes them flawlessly without having to touch the jog wheel at all in the mix:D:D:D:D:D

Thanks guys. & to think I was gonna go back to cds, trying to read of a tiny display:O:O Also Im curious to why I must have the latest maya44 drivers? What has this got to do with the pitch if I may ask?

whoop whoop VDJ FTW!

So it works now? Great :)))

The drivers, well, maya's older drivers wherent good. Thats why I said latest drivers. But guess you got them ;)

so I thought it worked great:( I will try to give my best explantion.

I know the exact problem now. So I have the tracks beatmatched perfectly so they will stay in perfect sync for about a minute & a half. When beatmatching at the start of the timecode they are perfect for over two minutes. I cue up the tune when I want to put it in again & it stays matched up for about 20 seconds. Then I have to move the jog wheel.

Its as if the timecode is now reading as If I have moved my pitch by about 0.05, thus making a complete mess to my mixes.

I think there is a point in the timecode where the timcode increases but I don't know where. I'm sure some other people have noticed this as well.

Hope to get this fixed soon:(

bump!
