DJ Pentiun, I'm sure that with the pro version over the home version there are a lot of new features and advanced features that will help you. However this is the wrong thread for your question.

I'm running the trial on bootcamp on my mac, I'm assuming it's a problem with the Mac sound card then? But is there a fix in the bought version, because I don't want to buy it if it won't work for my setup (2 sound cards). As has been said before the sound is really distorted, but the sound coming off the external sound card is fine. Sorry I should have specified I was running off boot camp, is the official MAC OSX version fixed for this problem?

The trouble with that setup is that the internal mac sound card was never intended for DJ or studio usage the lateny will always be higher as the mac is having to deal with two cards.
It would be better to get your self a complete interface like a Numark DJ.io or similar.

i have official (full version) of virtual dj pro.
I tested this on my mac and pc and both hardware has the same problem, can this be fixed????
On the mac it distorts all the time, on the pc it fluctuates eitherway dual sound card don't seem to work too good.
Do you have an approved list of exterbal usb soundcards that work in dual mode?

Hmm.. should'nt the ";)" is enough to somehow show that???
Pls support its development by purchasing it or simply register it at ur profile.
Regards;)
PS: Using "unauthorized" version can be damaging and unstable.

I didn't see the thanks in that... So... from me.. Thank you...
Anyways.. has this been confirmed by anyone else? I am wondering if this will apply to me considering both my "soundcards" (Rane MP4) are external so i an not even using the internal sound card.

I am having the same problem. Users in other threads are too and no one seems to understand the issue. Both CUE Le and the trial of Virtual DJ create terrible distortion when using 2 Cards Mode with any configuration of sound cards on the Mac. Doesn't matter if you use a configuration of internal/external or external/external. I've tried running several different M-Audio devices. This is a software issue. It has nothing to do with the type of sound card or mixer/timecode device. It happens no matter what when choosing 2 Sound cards in the audio preferences. As soon as you switch away from using 2 Sound Cards, the distortion goes away. SO, the software fault is either with the Virtual DJ platform (Also used by CUE), or the Mac OS. 2 Cards mode does not play nice. What's the deal?

i to have this same problem, i wish it were fixed because then i could bring another sound card with me for backups, if my djio screws up then i can use my other sound card for audio and the internal sound card for headphones.
Any settings i try dont work

Seems like this issue has gone on for a while unlooked and unresolved. Can we get some feedback from Atomix as to what is happening? Essentially we are losing money not being able to use our equipment. And It will ultimately lead us to using different software. Thus causing you to lose money.

Feedback is easy.
Turn your sound up about three quarters, then walk right up in front of a speaker with a live mic in your hand.
No seriously, all joking aside.
This feature is kind of a work around for non pro users wanting a monitor channel in stereo.
Used to be that we had to split the stereo into two mono channels one assigned as main, one as monitor.
In fact we still advise this for those who only have the single internal sound device.
This option was designed to make it a little easier to accommodate and in stereo.
We would always recommend a quality multi channel sound device be used when playing live at gigs.
To rely on an internal sound device or cheap single channel usb device is not going to do justice to you or your system's potential.
I think most Pro dj's would agree with that philosophy regarding sound and quality.
Now certainly if this is not working, it should be looked at, but it's not a show stopper if you are a professional dj imho.
If you would rather purchase other software to keep using a $30 Turtle beach single channel sound device, the logic is missing imo.
Most of us do all we can to make our audio, video and lighting the best it can be.
This would not be my option by any stretch.

My $600 RANE MP4 USB Mixer is quality. Mac version of this software is not.
Thank you.
Thank you.

Hello all,
As written by jmvBMW, when using 2 sound cards, the distortion is not related to the sound cards quality, the distortion is caused by a difference of sampling rate between the 2 sound cards.
To use 2 sound cards in the same software, you must set the same sampling rate on both sound cards.
For example, to use a USB sound card set at 48KHz together with your Mac internal sound card (set at 44.1KHz by default), you must:
- load Audio MIDI Setup (in Macintosh HD > Application > Utilities)
- click on the field 'Properties For:' and select 'Built-in Output'
- In the 'Audio Output' area, set 'Format' field on '48000,0 Hz"
and that's it all, you will no longer hear distortion when using the 48KHz USB sound card with the Mac internal output.
