Topic: Upgrading Hard Drive

I'm sure this has been covered, but I couldn't find anything using the search function...

I am replacing the external hard drive I store all my music on, to a larger model. How can I ensure VDJ will be able to use the Virtual Folders, Filter Folders, etc. I've created with the new drive?

(Dell laptop, running XP; using an external Lacie HD)

Hook up both drives and COPY ALL the data from the *OLD* to the *NEW* keeping everything the same. And make sure you copy the VirtualDJ Database v5.xml file from the root of the OLD drive to the root of the NEW drive.

I really like the program called Synchronize It. Its only a few dollars and you can use it to copy all of your data over. More importantly it can be used to update your drive with new music. I keep a master drive at the office which all of my new music goes on. When I want to move the new stuff to my external drive this program will transfer the new stuff only. Works great.
