Topic: Good computers with virtual dj

I'm buying a denon 4500,a denon x500,and of course vdj pro..................all i need now is to choose a computer.... does any one recommend any brand or type of computer ...............i want a desktop so i can put it in a rackmount ............something affordable and well working with vdj.

I think there is no specific answer for you since every computer is going to respond differently. Last year I baught a low end computer for 400.00 and added extra 1g ram plus med 7200 GS video card and it works perfectly. There are many high end and low computer that have difficulties responding to what is required for VDJ and headaches pop up. I have a HP Pavillion 6000n which works great. It never sees the internet except for proven updates from fellow VDJers first.

One suggestion, regardless what anyone says, GET A PC!!! If you get a mac, trust me, you will regret it. Most people are not familiar with them, they are not as reliable as they pretend to be, and if you just want a 'pretty pc', get alienware. I highly suggest purchasing a Dell, as dell has FANTASTIC customer service, which will help alot. Also make sure its loaded with at least 80gb of harddisk space, 1gb of ram, and a wifi card built in
