i just got virtual dj and songs i have downloaded from iTunes store have an error message when i drag and drop them.
is there something i have to do so they will play?
or am i out of luck?
i am just not sure where to go from here because so many of my songs are from iTunes store.

VDJ / Cue will not play purchased standard itunes files because itunes protects them it is prohibited to use them for public performance.
Some tracks offer a drm free upgrade called itunes + but technically speaking you should not use these live.

of course, you could consider thinking about maybe contemplating the idea of burning them to a cd and then ripping them back on your machine...
