Hi, I own VDJ 5.7 and a ESI MAYA-USB44 soundcard. When I'm working with the Pioneer DJM-600 mixer (which I do every weekend), I have to set the channel gain on VDJ to 4dB or else the audio signal will enter the mixer to low (to be workable). But when I load another song on VDJ, the channel gain autommaticly resets to 0 dB. I've tried the different "Auto Gain" options on the CONFIG menu, but the gain always resets itself...
Does anyone know what to do?

Yes.......upgrade to the latest version the 5.1 (www.virtualdj.com/update.html) that particular issue was a point of focus in this release and should take care of it. Your other option is to normalize all your files and that's more work....

Normalizing your files is alot of work but its the best solution.

How do you normalize all the video files? Is there a program for this?

Theres a free app. for this that batch processes mp3s called MP3GAIN it works more on perceived volume than plane normalising but can do that as well. standard setting is -89db I use -92db for a higher output some use higher settings, this can cause clipping which is also flagged but not always audible as the clip detection is very sensitive.
If you have clipping issues you can hard limit using an audio editor which in effect compresses the music , but this is not all bad as it allows the music to cut thru in venues that are typically noisy environments.
