If I buy the new version will I have to reanalyze the bpm's I currently have?

Yes I think you will, but with the new Pro version 5.1 you will get better analyed BPM's also you will get Key detection now :) So you can try harmonic mixing.

If you do, you will still retain your cue points. Do what I did - Pick a weekend and let it chunk away! I have all my music duplicated on a brick drive - let it scan that, then copied the database back.

i too am thinking about going pro, i know that virtual dj has great support for virtual dj and updates for the software, does that include going from virtual dj 5 to virtual dj 6? did people have to rebuy the software from vitrual dj 4 to virtual dj 5?

No mate, the updates are free, once you have brought the Pro version.
