Hi,
I wonder if anyone can help me, I have just installed a ATI Radeon HD 3870 512MB DDR4 PCI-E DVI Out, into a new computer I have built.
The Spec of the computer is :
Dualcore 2x2.0 ghz 800MHZ cpu
500gb SATA drive
4gb DDR2 667MHZ PC2 5300 Ram
When I run a video in vdj it starts off ok then when I load another video into the second deck its fine, when i go to mix to the next deck the video freezes for a second an then a load of green vertical lines apear and then continue to appear on every video I load and play.
If I turn the hardware acceleration off in the program the videos appear to be ok but they do no seem to be as smooth.
If I play any of the video's in windows media player they all work fine.
I have read plenty on the forum about this like puting different codecs and changing the codic in vdj to windows media player codecs but nothing seems to work.
Could anybody please help
Ps I am running vdj ver 4.3

i am no pro at this but i would recommend updating the drivers of your video card and check the settings..because the problem might be in your video card..not saying that it is bad but that its not recommended for vdj ..search for sky's guide to video card . it will give u an insight on what to choose ok. hope i helped

it usually means the card doesn't suppor dx9 hardware acceleration.

Billy, I have same problem as you with an ATI HD 2600 ... I have read about green stripes and the problem is that your card (as well all ATI's HD series and Nvidia 8000 series) does not support DirectX9, they were designed to work with DX10. Microsoft will not release DX10 for XP, only for Vista...
You mean DDR3 ?

he's exactly right that card is a dx10 card, the only way it will work properly is with dx10 and the only way to get that unfortunately is with vista.
