Topic: Best Controller for Numark Cue?

Dieses Thema ist veraltet und kann veraltete oder falsche Informationen enthalten.

Hi

I have been using Numark Cue with my CDJ1000's and timecoded discs for the past 6 months, and its great never had a problem with it.

I'm wanting to purchase a rackmount controller as well now and i'm wondering what you would recommend?

I don't want one with a mixer built in, I want one in the style of a "denon" cd player controller.

Two are standing out at the moment, the PCDJ Dac 3 and the Numark DMC 2 Controller.

Which of these work best with Cue?

I gather the DAC 3 will need to be mapped to function properly, whereas the DMC 2 is designed to work with Cue straight out the box. Is this correct?

Thanks

Yes you are correct.

DAC3 - works but requires mapper (what i hear the mapper is very good)

DMC2 (I have one takes exactly 4 clicks to start using) 1) open VDJ/cue 2) config tab 3) remote controls, 4) Enable DMC2
It's also pre-mapped for VDJ/CUE the buttons do exactly what they say. There is an extended mapper available as well.

The Dmc2 is designed to work perfectly and logically with cue every time.

Its light stable and durable and the hid function shows you all of the details such as track info and bpm. You can trigger samples , fx and choose the songs all on the controller.

The DAC3 will not read mp3 tags, while the DMC2 will. You can look at the controller and know what's playing. Of those two, I'd definitely recommend the DMC2.

I have both. The DAC 3 did a great job, but it is on a shelf in the garage. I am using the DMC 2 everyday, and with JB's mapper, it is the shit. The Denon 4500 is getting a lot of play, and Pioneer is releasing a new controller this summer, so you may want to take a look at either of those.
