Topic: Need some help with 5.1 on a new laptop

Dieses Thema ist veraltet und kann veraltete oder falsche Informationen enthalten.

Ok so I am trying out VDJ on a new laptop (actually playing right now). My old HP Laptop with an NVIDIA QUADRO1500M video card was occasionally locking up giving me infinite loop nv4_disp bluescreens. I don't think this was related to VDJ as there are a lot of gamers that have the same problem. I run XP.

Anyways I have been meaning to try a new laptop that had an ATI card to see if I can alleviate these nvidia bluescreens. Other than the bluescreens my VDJ worked flawlessly, NEVER locked up on its own.

I am now running a FIREGL V5200 ATI card. I didn't think this would be enough horsepower since its way underpowered compared to my Quadro1500M, but so far it's running pretty good. I am surprised, no choppiness or artifacts on the big screens. Does anyone else run a laptop with this video card?

I figured what the hell and loaded 5.1 on this new laptop (I was using Rev6 before on the old laptop). I have some issues though.

Occasionally when I load up a video (let's say Venus)... it will start playing the audio to Venus but I would get the video to Hazy Shade Of Winter. WTH is this? Then later on I tried loading the video to Heaven and the audio worked but I got the video to Hazy Shade Of Winter. This is very strange. :( This is a new build of VDJ. Could it be a database issue? I am using an external hard drive on this laptop for videos.

Also using the VMIX 5.4 skin that I love, I find that I can no longer drag videos from the database list onto the video screen on each side. I can only drag them to the much smaller area above the screens that lists the title/artist as well as the waveform for that song. Is this a skin issue?

Finally it's nice to see the headphone issue fixed with a Herc MK2 and the on board knob that was messed up in rev7.

Thanks in advance. I hope someone can chime in on the audio/wrong video issue.

go to the video tab and uncheck "link video on audio track"

Thanks. It just happened again so I checked here and I believe that fixed it. We'll see. :)

I got to say so far I am impressed with this 5.1. The automix is much improved in regards to cue points, BPMs, and gains. Very pleased.

Sweet.
