it does not matter how you do it is the end product that counts :) and that is all about creativity and music knowledge.

Wow i know im hella late posting but this topic has substance. (i "quit" for a couple of months).
I agree with fatkatz...ppl do expect too much and do not know the history/basics or how it feels to lug vinyl around. Matter of fact i don't know the latter. I stumbled upon a crack (luckily:) of vdj a while ago and things took off. What im getting at is that ppl (especially younger ppl) don't see dj's actually using oldschool stuff. They expect the dj to be running through some computer setup that looks outrageously cool, yet easy. I know in my city every dj is running serato and its rare that they are eveng using timecodes(most use pcjs). I don't think the community should be bashed if something doesn't work like its advertised to. However i believe ppl do not know how much easier this software is making it for them.

Well.. thanks to dj-in-norway... mixing tips threads....there has been a lot of improvement in many new djs life
