I absolutely cannot figure out how to get the mic circuit to open up.
I can load music and play it but cannot figure out nor is there any instructions that I can find on how to get the microphone circuit to open up and be live.
If there is anyone in the forum that can voice in yahoo I'd appreciate the ability to one on one if that is a possibility; rather than type back n forth. This is ok just that would be faster and easier plus I am in pacific coast time and early in the morning would be good becasue club is empty and could trouble shoot easily in SL.
I am running virtual dj and djing in Second Life. I run Windows XP PRO 32bit and 64bit seperately on seperate hard drives (two completely seperate systems on an amd athlon 64 (939 socket) with 2gigs of ddr pc3200 ram / MB=MSI K8N Neo4/sli. I am using the virtualdj on the 64bit system.
My mic is plugged into the sound card and works just fine just not in sl with virtual dj.
My sound card is Creative Labs Sound Blaster Audigy2 Platinum and the motherboard has on board Creative Labs Live which I have disabled.
In yahoo I can play music via "What You Hear" and with mic (not on what u hear) I can talk just fine in yahoo and can talk fine in SL just not when I dj with virtual dj.
I am retired form actual real live dj at an fm radio station.
Can/Is there anyone who knows what is happening here and why I can't jump through this hoop of getting mic to work in SL?

Are you trying to use it too broadcast or just similar to a stand alone mixer type PA mic set up? Too use a mic too broadcast you must select it in the control panel of your OS. And then you must select the right sound card in your record config. If you just want to use your mic for general announcements and such it will not work that way.

I am bit streaming (shoutcasting) in a dance club.
I am trying to figure out what you are talking about select mic control panel...........the sound card is already installed and has been for three years works fine or did I miss the turn you made with me?
in the creative labs sound card it give you the ability to (I mean the mic is plugged into it the sound card) go what you hear or mic etc.
Is there some place in the control panel where I change up things such as mic in some sort of broadcast area?
