The Hercules MK2 with the Behringer DDM-4000?

The Hercules is a complete package of mixer, controller, and sound card. So, if you wanted to, you could get by with just that. It is limited as far as the mixer part goes. There is a newer model here, that you might want to research, if that is the way you want to go. The Behringer unit is just a mixer, so you will need a sound card and a controller of some type. I would do a little more research if I were you, to figure out which way to go. What are you gonna carry all this stuff in? Does that mixer fit the size limit you want? Do I need all those inputs and capabilities? Are you gonna use time code? If I get just a mixer, what other sound card options do I have. Take your time, because no matter what you choose, there will be something better next week. Speaking of next week, I never buy anything this close to a major show. The DJ Times convention, is next month in Atlantic city, so you know there will be some new releases.

Thanks for the reply. I have asked a few questions but I get conflicting answers. Some say I need the MK2 and some say I do not. The Behringer has MIDI IN/OUT, and I have a Behringer UCA202 USB sound card right now. I guess my main question is do I still need a 4in/4out sound card? When I had my Numark DXM-09 mixer, I knew I needed the MK2 but with the ddm4000, it's a digital mixer with midi. I already have two tt's and I just wanted to eliminate the MK2 because of carrying another piece around. Also upgrade to a mixer that I can video mix with one crossfader on the Behringer. Can anyone help?

Thanks Jimmy b, what's up man? I have been researching this topic for a while now and I already sold my MK2 and Numark. I don't think I need the MK2 because that was the MIDI and the Behringer has MIDI. I hope this is right. But I'm screwed if I need a 4in/4out sound card. I hope I don't need one.

I'm good man, I think you'll be fine, as I believe the DDM 4000 has it's own soundcard built in, also you have the all the inputs and outputs you need to hook your turntables up to it.
Once you've got it, go and grab that mapper aswell, there's one in the plugin section, then you should be good to go mate,

Thanks Jimmy b for the re-assurance. I was hoping for the same answer as you gave me. I will probably pick up the mixer next week and let you guys know how it works out.
