I like it !
Let me try a quick review.
I played with it tonight.
Clear design, looks like little "childish" with this Alien, remind me atomixmp3, but is ok.
A mix of hercules (alien), pcdj red, and objects from mixstation skins.
pros.
clear /easy to read/ not confusing, beautiful..
great (happy..) colors, i liked the green and red versions.
The vu-meters at the top, are great idea, and space saving.
cons.
Some bugs in the graphics: the vertical line in the centre of the waveforms is not in the right place.
Compared to other skins all my cue points showed wrong (maybe some ms)
Making new cue points based to visual waveforms has an error (offset)
Also, The Author/title is not well aligned with the blue lane.
Because its designed for Timecode, id' say there are still unnecessary object you can remove to save space (many buttons like skip etc.), even play/cue can be smaller (like a fat line)
Instead of buttons for loops etc, can you try a LCD display ?
Lets say using 2 -big- digits to show how many bars the loop is (loops from keyboard shortcuts)
The same for effects, etc.
The only i miss is the 3-band fader eq. Even you have ext mixer it can be very useful.
(i use the numpad in the keyboard for this.)
My advice: Move the sample buttons up, next to vu-meters and put a little eq fader (3 horizontal sliders) instead. The alien icon needs to be a little smaller to make room.
George.

That's ok,
try my -colour- version of Pioneer 700,
I want to keep -and use- just 2 skins the pioneer as my powerful "remix" skin
and yours (the alien) as the simple "traditional" playing skin.

You bumped a TEN YEAR OLD thread?! You're using a TEN YEAR OLD skin?!
OMG! :-)
Are you using VDJ 7 or 8? In VDJ 7 it seems to load OK and you can exit by clicking the X (top right) as is standard in Windows.
The setting are accessed by the SET button (left of centre).
In VDJ 8 you'll have a problem because a lot of the code used in skins has changed over TEN YEARS. You can still exit, but the settings and other buttons don't respond - different code. If you need to load a different skin, the easiest way is to delete your settings.xml (where the skin choice is stored). That will reset everything.
If you really want this skin to work in VDJ 8 I can modify it for you.
