Topic: Need Help - VCI-100

Dieses Thema ist veraltet und kann veraltete oder falsche Informationen enthalten.

My VCI-100 finally arrived today thanks to Guitar Center sending my order out on Monday instead of Friday!!!

Questions:

1) If I want to use the mixer on the VCI-100 and plug into 1 channel my club's mixer how can listen to cue? The soundcard I use is the M-Audio Connectiv.

2) I'm not a vinyl mode user - is there anyway to set the main platters to pitch bend instead of being forced to use the outside?

3) How can I create pitch bend +/- buttons? That is what I am used to on cd dual decks and the Numark DMC-2

I don't like the vinyl mode because if I brush my hand on top of the platter it stops. With it out of vinyl mode it "searches" through the track.

I'm "mapper stupid" so keep that in mind when replying. :)

Thanks!!

After playing around some more with it I have one more question....

I like to use loops a lot. How can I use the controller to toggle back and forth between Deck 1 and Deck 2 for loops? The only way I figured out doesn't make any sense and that is when you use the controller to load a song on Deck 1 while Deck 2 is playing then the Loop buttons work for Deck 1 but not Deck 2 and vice versa.

how did u get yours to work with virtual dj, i just recieved my vci 100 today but i dont have a clue about midi. I used it with traktor le hated it! controller is the bomb so far., software sucks.

Mark, Check your thread in the hardware section.

Everyone else....nevermind my initial posts above I figured it out...thanks for the help (sarcasm).

The pre-listening controls on the unit work with VDJ.
You just need to select "headphones" under output (soundcard settings), then select which ouputs you wish to use.

You can't map the controller when you have it enabled in controllers. This is a native setting with no options, it's bare bones currently (an update should add more depth). A a native mapping program, like that for the Hercules would be the easiest way (not yet made).

What you could do, go to plugins>external tools (on this website), and download the midi map file I created. This gives you the jogwheel function you wanted, you can easily add the pitch bend buttons too, if not I will do this for you.

Thanks bagpuss. Better late than never I always say but I figured it out that's why I posted an update. :) Now to figure out how to get the CUE buttons on the left and right of the VCI-100 to add multiple cue points instead of moving the first cue point. Have any clue on that one? :)

TearEmUp:

Sorry for the "double post" but man after 2 days with no replies what's a guy to do, so I posted in the "correct" hardware forum thinking that would get a quicker response. Neither of them did. Sorry just feeling a lil frustrated here when I see jokes of all kinds going on and non-licensed users getting help when I paid the $300 for my program and not getting a reply. :)

I understand, but, most of the non-licensed users are asking the same questions over and over so a lot of people know those answers. VDJ would not want any licensed user going without support. Also if you are not getting any working suggestions here you can always submit an e-ticket. ;-)

An e-ticket would be a first for me. I would save that for a disaster so I wouldn't add any more stress for the "little things". :)

If you have a suggested on getting the CUE buttons on the VCI to add multiple cue points instead of moving the first one that would be fantastic. :)
