Topic: screwy timecode cd's......

Dieses Thema ist veraltet und kann veraltete oder falsche Informationen enthalten.

so I've got my laptop running smoothly with my RMX and full video, and I tried to add TC CDs to the equation today, and I ran into ALL KINDS of problems.. I'm using denon s-1000 cd players. Only the consumer TC file would work, the Pro TC file would not be recognized by the denons, thought that was odd. Anyway, I hooked them up, set VDJ to timecoded cds, and loaded up videos. The visual display at the top of my screen (the visual representation of the audio from the file) kept jumping back and forth, before I even started playing the track! I got massive dropouts, for up to several seconds at a time, both in the audio and video. And finally, when I hit cue on the denon, instead of going back to the start of the file, it seemed like it was slowly backspinning its way back to the start! Does anyone know what's going on or have fixes? I really want to be able to use timecode.

If the signal going into VirtualDJ is TOO STRONG you will have totally no control.

I know you most like already have done this - but make sure your inputs on the RMX are on LINE.

Being that you have Denon brand CD players you need to use the PRO signal. Redownload the TC from the site and burn new CDs. Try burning them at a slower rate like 4x.

Also, make sure you are not using ASIO in 24-bit - from the RMX manual -- Switching to 24-bit mode only lets you use inputs 1-2 (inputs 3-4 are not available).

Once you make the new CDs go through and setup the Timecode again and see if you have better control.
