Topic: DEMO EPISODE FOR TV Programme..

The following is a segment of an episode for a tv station I am currently in negotiations with

Episode length 22 mins - segment length = 7:30 mins

Requirement - 10 - 14 songs within 7 minutes
Remixes - allowing other genre in if the segment still somehow has a reggae flow
Allowances - mix reggae on other genre beats.. vice versa



I need your opinion.... what do you guys think of the mix??? honestly

Wat a gwaan man, di ting sell off.... yuh nuh see seh a whole heap a dem tune bad, but de mix ting nah clean. So yuh a fi clean up di mix de ting gwaan mash up di place....he he. The logo bad too King man....Bless!.......(cough cough)......
 
Hey mon,

This is really cool !!!
You're doing a lot in these vids I see.
You can show it immediately on tv.

I know you for some time now and you can make very good video mixes.
When you have all kind of vids in your mix, you let the people see that you can mix everything.
This is a good job Digitalwiz.
Wish that I could do it that way.

give me an insight as to what u mean clean up??

Most of the remixes are not actually acapellas... just a cut of bass etc. so the other music kind of filters through..
Always willing to learn... so be a bit more specific plz

two things i don't like though, please do something with that logo of yours make it smaller (not even mtv's is that big) it's a distraction to the rest of the screen and make it transparent, convert it to png. if you need any help which i doubt give me a shout, or you could use a transparent spinning logo.

not quite sure what to make of your voice over, either lose it or take some bass off it. everything else looking good.

The logo.. although big serves a purpose... i am afraid i cannot make it any smaller....if i did then i would have failed to do what it was really intended for (smile). Same issue with making it transparent.

I know it looks tacky.. being that big.. but... just cannot make it any smaller.... i wish i could too

Jamaican dialect = form of broken english (Patois) This is actually what he said- "What's happening man, the thing sell off (very good) ...I see that a lot of your tunes are popular and very good songs, but the mix thing is not clean. So you have to clean up the mix. The thing is going to tear up the place... he he.
 
the samples of your name sound muffled, don't know if you can clean it up a bit, thanks for translating lenny... lol

yeah i think so too......

i have quite a few completed...

nearly 40 of these segments so far
 
Watched the two vids.
After wathing it more then once I say that the second one is better.
The vids are better mixed but that's my idea.
Just want to say that you have the feeling for it mon.
Maybe an idea for the next time:
When you want to mix a vid, at that point....don't mix it but hit the brake button......take the C & C Musicfactory clip and start only: Everybody dance now...........Then come with a suprising totally different styl and then mix the next two song.
Don't know if it's possible within Vegas, but I like the suprise thing in a vid.

You can mix everythin mon, I know.

in the first vid...oh.. it would seem like just air... mon....just air
Guess the suit is not fitting her too well... kinda big for her... hahaha
