I store my mp3s on a external usb harddrive and when i load it up to vdj it dosent remeber the bpms in the song selection screen,is there anyway i can save this information so i dont lose the bpms when i disconnect and reconnect the hd?

What version are you using? This sounds unusual. In the newer versions, there is a database in the root of the external itself to prevent issues such as this.

i believe 5.6, i have a registered version of 5.7 but it dosent run properly on vista,any thoughts on how i can save te bpm?

Why don't you try upgrading to 5.2.1. It's so solid with Vista for me.
Then you can scan all your music again and get the Key value aswell, its part of the scanning process now.
