So i ordered my TCVs Oct 5th, today it shows that the package is in Miami Beach! WTF I live in CANADA! I might be wrong but arent TCVs shipped from the UK?
A few months ago, i had to ship some documents to Washington DC, my package went from Toronto, Canada to Miami Fla. to Newark to Washington... stupid no? What gives with these courier services?

I admit I am not sure but,TCVs for the North America continent are shipped from here in the US, Eastern seaboard. The path they take to reach you varies depending on the method of delivery. Example: all UPS packages route through the central hub in Atlanta. So, there seems to be no rhyme or reason to us, but to the shipping companies it makes perfect sense.

Ok so if my package is being shipped from the US, why the heck does it take so long to cross the border? I could understand if it was in customs in buffalo or something, but Miami? I could have driven there and back with my TCVs already, i just dont get how this stuff works...

When I ordered some TCV, They were shipped from ST Paul Minn, Then Winnipeg, Then Edmonton.
Took 3 days. Was it UPS that is handling your package? Have you called UPS and asked them why it was shipped to Miami?

All TCV shipments from the US now go through USPS. All European shipments go RoyalMail.
Somethings had to change do to the economy. To keep the costs respectable changes needed to be made.

The ground shipping process is a fun thing. Like you you mentioned about ups. Fedex's hub is in Tennessee ( i think ) so to overnight it from your city to another location in your city, it would travel overnight to another state only to come back again for drop off the next day. things that make you go hummm!

Ok so i just tried tracking the package on USPS.com and this is the message i got:
The U.S. Postal Service was electronically notified by the shipper on October 13, 2008 to expect your package for mailing. This does not indicate receipt by the USPS or the actual mailing date. Delivery status information will be provided if / when available. Information, if available, is updated every evening. Please check again later.
I ordered it on the 5th...indeed, things that make you go hmmm
