Hi,
I am unable to record video mixes smoothly. Everytime it records the video jumps or has a slight stutter/ strobe effect. I tried every codec but nothing works. Help! How do I fix the video record to stop slowing/ strobing the video when I receord?
No one was alble to solve this problem before.

This is very frustrating because I want to get started mixing and saving my video mixes. What is wrong?

Hi, I gave up and started using fraps instead. Just google fraps, it's pretty simple to set up.
Would be interested if somebody's got video recording working in vdj though.

The Video recording function has not been perfected yet in Virtual DJ. It will have a strobe effect.
I have the full version of Fraps, but it will not record anything in Virtual DJ.

This feature works well if you use it well:
* quality of your computer (CPU, video card, hard drive, ...)
* a specific codec : MPEG4 (the one we advise by default)

That may be true, but I put in a ticket on this issue and the reply was "The video recorder has some issues including sync even when the right codec is used. We reccomend using Fraps for this purpose" MP3jrick VDJ support team.

I have used Fraps and was able to record video mixes but I am unable to get any sound. You need to have an external monitor hooked up for the videos to record, but How do I get the audio to record?

well if you've tryed all the above suggestions...
you could get a Hard Drive video recorder. They're about 80 UKP in most high street stores :)

With VDJ? ;)
You can import it later with some editing program for sure, but don't know how.
