I'm a 29 year old music addict from London, England. Dance music is my biggest love, having first gotten into music as a child during the house music explosion of the late 80's. However i like all types & genres, including disco, hip-hop, soul, pop & rock. I've been collecting Vinyl & CD singles going back to the late 70's for over 15 years & thus far have over 18,000 12" singles & 11,000 tracks in my I-Tunes / MP3 collection (MP3), all arranged by year. I've recently given all the CD singles away to charity, as they took up too much space and i had no need to use them when all the tracks from them are now stored on my hard drive. Was a VERY strong supporter of DJ's playing Vinyl ONLY, up until two weeks ago when a friend of mine told me about the superb Virtual DJ software. I certainly haven't abandoned my Technics SL 1210's, Numark mixer & countless 12" singles i spent a lifetime collecting, but as it was quite easy to build a superb MP3 catalogue of music from my CD singles, Virtual DJ offers me a nice alternative to lugging around my precious vinyls.
As i've dedicated my whole life to music, i've essentially become a walking encyclopedia of dance music history and can get EXTREMELY nerdy around the right company. Unfortunately, i have somehow managed to live out my whole life without meeting like-minded people with those same interests or even an average level of dance music & DJ-ing nerdiness, so it would be nice to meet those sort of people on here :-D
