I know I will probably get reamed out about this but I am just wondering if 5.2.2 is in the works for release. I know a few problems have been brought up (especially towards video).

I know developement take soo long and I respect those who are doing it. But haven't we been waiting for fixes since Late September?

Just curious and NOT COMPLAINING.

I've just had a week being flamed for asking the same question - just let it go it's not worth the shit you'll get from the vdj ass kissers - the updade will be ready when it's ready & that's it ... could be 2025 but hey ho!
I've been made to feel like a leper for daring to ask the same question so i hope you have better luck than me!
 
Well tayla I dunno what I missed in the forums please let me know. I browse the forums but can't say I spend hours on them.

As I said I am not complaining at all I love VDJ and its developers.


I wish we knew our problems were being looked at.

I too will wait patiently for an update of the software I soley rely on.

What are your video issues? I run VDJ 3 nights a week 5 hours a night (Soon to be 4 nights a week in March)
and I don't have any video issues. I'm still using version 5.1.

How about you provide information regarding your "issues" because there's a good chance an update won't help you but people here can help.

Having an iphone on the late night bus after quite a lot of bacardi is a dangerous thing. Still, I couldn't resist. Yeah, I hope my comments aren't moderated either. Just posting how I feel, and after all that is the purpose of the forum.

It's amazing how one can be made to feel victimised for having an issue when others will stand behind the company no matter what. Ah well .......

would certainly recommend you tone down some of your replies, your not helping yourself by making remarks like that, those "ass kissers" whoever it's directed at would probably one day "have" pulled you out of the proverbial.
 
@dgreene, glad to see you realised I give you a light hearted reply to your post, if you stick in a search for updates, new stuff, suggestions etc you will probably come up with a few links to the subject, well you would have with the old search engine, lol. it's just once a whiff of a new update becomes apparent loads of posts keep springing up making suggestions on what should be in it, when it's going to be released and all the other opinions that go with it. your right to take the outlook of when it's done it's done, because more than likely all the decisions of what's going into it will probably have already been made and the release date will be "when it's ready it's ready"... lol

yep your right i probably spend a little bit to much time here more then is medically acceptable... lol

I suggest you should just chill lad, before you start offending people.
 
tell ya what if the new version does whatever people are asking it will make your dinner for you aswell lol.just wondering is it maybe peoples set ups laptops ect need work.i know some issues need to be add with a new update.i was blaming the software for months until i really start getting into forums and great people helping me.im noy a tech person but peolpe who are here help quiet a lot.
so to sum up ask the forum\check the forum for answers.ifmyou dont get your answer post a ticket.but throwing names and insults about is just rude and wrong.we all want a great product and an easy life so work together to get it
 
yes when comes new updates ? we pay so much and never updates
 
to me its not that expensive for the product we get.when you are genuine and need help you get it but really dont need the sarcasism and abusive behaviour.as i saud im no tech wizzard and would love to never have probs.
 
I heard a rumour that a demo of the update is available, but please dont all of you hit the site at once, because they will shut it down if the usage starts spiking.

i will say this again.....use the program for what it can do not what it may possible do in the future. i have issues with what 'i wish' would happen and what actually happens every night i dj, no matter what i am using. when i was using turntables the needles got dirt on them. records skipped ect i dealt with it and moved on.....sure it would be nice to have feature x,y or z but like i tell me kids 'learn the difference in need and want'

so dont waste too much energy anticipating a new release instead save that energy for the excitment when it comes out
 
but guys, it for sure wudnt be bad to know wen to expect an upgrade. even if it means setting up a private forum for registered users to get news about development or even a development timeline thingie with feature requests...wudnt it be nice? :)
 
It's not going to happen though. Atomix don't publish update release dates, and I can't say I blame them. If they publish them they will simply get complaints about "how long?!" and if they miss the target date there will be no end of complaining....

I've even fallen foul of it on plugins and they have nowhere near the userbase of VirtualDJ.
