I bought a Behringer DDM4000 about a month ago, am pleasantly surprised by it's performance so far... This is my home system that I use for mucking about with in my spare time... I'm currently attempting to learn to scratch, not something I intend to inflict on an unwilling audience any time soon!

Been a vdj user for about 3 years now, just thought I would share my setup.

Don't take this the wrong way peeps...

but, why aren't more DJs taking pride in how their sh*t looks when it's set up? I can understand if you like to DJ in a pile of wires at home, but when you go out, neaten it up! If you have a pile of wires, get a wall. There's no excuse for having a sloppy appearence today, plus it makes your clients look bad becuase you're representin'!

OK, I'm off my soapbox now.

Eep... guilty as charged for having an untidy "messing about at home" system! However, I just finished my latest gig rig last week... (more details in my blog)

I just think with all the products on the market today, a knotted ball of wires should not be seen. I'm not the neatest, but do try. Something as simple as velcroing your wires behind your stands so they're out of site can make a difference. A skirted table will hide tons of crap. If we as an industry want to be looked at as a professional group of people, one thing that needs improvement is what people first see when they walk in, and that's our gear. High end stuff or entry doesn't matter.

Wow brian pretty impressive!

I checked your website too just for fun and it's seems like a very professionial service you have there.

... need a hand or a stand in let me know! ;)

Thank you.

I understand that a lot of DJs that have posted are more on the club side than weddings like me, but I think if we all at least make an effort to improve our appearance it'll help our industry.

I've always got my eye out for a DJ that can do the type of stuff I do with technology. The sad part is, not many know how to do even the simplest of things like build a photo slide show with VDJ during a wedding reception, let alone do cool things with DMX lighting like uplight a hall to match a bride's wedding colors. If you're in the area and already know how to do some of the stuff I do, we can talk. PM me.

Very nice lighting, Brian,

very nice indeed.

thank you.
